Forest School

Forest School is a great way for children to explore and learn about their natural environment. The Children are able to go out once a week with Miss Challenor, a qualified Forest School Leader.

Within Forest School children plant fruit and vegetables and maintain the Forest School by cutting the trees and branches. We also have a controlled fire where children are able to melt marshmallows and make hot chocolate!

In Forest School we have great den building competitions and have great fun on the mud slide. Forest school is a great way for children to build their self- confidence and learn in an active and creative way.

Every class has a timetabled morning or afternoon session in our Forest School every week. The children learn basic skills in the outdoor environment that includes numeracy and literacy across the curriculum.
